My Story
I believe counselling is most helpful when it feels safe, respectful, and grounded in reality—not judgement. Many people come to counselling feeling stuck: they know something needs to change, but they feel tired, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start. My role is to walk alongside you, help you make sense of what’s happening, and support you to take practical steps forward at a pace you can sustain.
My approach is person-centred and strengths-based, with a balance of warmth and structure. I pay close attention to both the content of what you share and the process—the emotions underneath, the patterns that repeat, and the parts of you that have been trying to cope for a long time. Where helpful, I use structured questioning to clarify what you want, what’s currently happening, and what a realistic plan forward could look like.
I’ve spent significant time supporting people in recovery and community settings, and I understand how shame, stigma, and “starting over” can weigh on a person. If faith or spirituality matters to you, I’m open to integrating it only when you want that included—always with care and respect.
You don’t need to have the “right words” to begin. We can start with where you are and take the next step together
