My Story
I have always been curious about how people make sense of themselves, their relationships, and the experiences that shape who they are. To me, counselling is not about “fixing” someone, but about creating a space where a person can slow down, feel understood, and begin to see themselves more clearly.
My counselling approach is integrative, drawing primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Influenced by the Theory of Constructed Emotion, I tend not to assume that difficult emotions simply result from “wrong” or distorted thinking that needs to be corrected. Instead, I am interested in understanding how emotions emerge from the interaction between our past experiences, bodily states, present context, and the meanings we make of what is happening.
I work with clients to explore emotions, relationships, recurring patterns, and the things that matter most to them, while developing greater psychological flexibility and self-understanding.
